Trinidad & Tobago consist of two Caribbean islands located just off the northeastern coast of Venezuela. The islands are famous for their beautiful beaches, vibrant culture, and stunning natural attractions. While the Trinidad and Tobago national basketball team has yet to qualify for the FIBA World Championships, it has earned six total medals in the Caribbean Championship — including four consecutive gold medals from 1986 to 1990 — ranking second on the medal list, just one behind the Bahamas with seven. The most notable basketball player of Trinidad and Tobago descent is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, whose grandparents were born in Trinidad.
