The Australian men’s national basketball team, known as the Boomers, is one of the strongest teams in the Asia-Pacific region and a consistent presence on the world stage. Australia has competed in every FIBA World Cup since 1970 and has regularly qualified for the Olympic Games, earning a historic silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The team has also been successful in the FIBA Asia Cup, winning gold in 2017 after joining the FIBA Asia zone in 2015.

Sydney, the capital of New South Wales and one of Australia’s largest cities, is world-famous for its harbourfront Sydney Opera House, with its iconic sail-like design. The bustling Darling Harbour and the smaller Circular Quay serve as lively waterside hubs, while the arched Harbour Bridge and the serene Royal Botanic Garden add to the city’s charm. For panoramic views, Sydney Tower’s Skywalk offers a 360-degree perspective of the city and its suburbs.

Melbourne, the coastal capital of Victoria in southeastern Australia, centers around the contemporary Federation Square, filled with plazas, bars, and riverside restaurants along the Yarra River. The Southbank district hosts the Melbourne Arts Precinct, home to the Arts Centre Melbourne performing complex and the National Gallery of Victoria, showcasing both Australian and Indigenous art.

Day 1    Departure from the USA.
Day 2    In transit.
Day 3    Arrival in Sydney. Transfer to hotel and check in. Enjoy sightseeing Bondi Beach.
Day 4    Sydney Harbour Sightseeing Cruise. Evening game (#1) vs. local team. 
Day 5    Sydney Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium. In the afternoon, visit Sydney Tower.
Day 6    Travel to Canberra, visit the Australian Institute of Sport. Evening game (#2) vs. local team.    
Day 7    Travel to Sydney and in the afternoon/evening game (#3) vs. local team.
Day 8    Depart Australia and arrive in US same day.
